Oxblood Nails

oxblood nails are always in season

As I type this, I am looking down at my oxblood mani pedi. I got it weeks ago, actually (when it was still summer.) When I told my manicurist I was going to Florida, she suggested another color. But alas, a cheetah such as myself doesn't change her spots.  It's my go-to color choice. I don't really stray from neutral nails. Neutral for me includes black, nude, grey, and oxblood. And true red or hermes orange if I'm feeling jolly.

An oxblood manicure is the perfect way to welcome the cooler months. It's dark and plummy, rich and robust- like red wine, which we also seem to embrace as the temperatures start to dip! I am in love with these four picks. Oxblood is strong yet feminine, sophisticated, and never fails. I don't foresee any other color topping it on my list. Try it and you'll see why you'll be requesting it over and over again.

the brief : four fab oxblood nail polish choices

Last Christmas, I got RGB's oxblood in my stocking. I always bring it with me to the salon if I can't choose a color there. This happens often.

Essie, the queen of nail color has a variety of plummy wine options. I love Berry Naughty.

Single Ladies by Deborah Lippmann is totally fierce. And Beyonce worthy, if you ask me. It's in my perpetual shopping cart. Perhaps this years stocking stuffer?

And last but not least- Butter London's La Moss is vampy perfection.

Happy Autumn- but fear not- oxblood is here to stay no matter what the calendar says ;)
