House Huntress : Perfectly Neutral in Nantucket

Although the water temps are far too cold for me these days and i'd much prefer the shores of miami, I will always have a soft spot for cape cod. I visited often as a young girl, only to sort of forget about it until..

I brought mr. wonderful back in 2010. We pitched a tent and rode our bicycles to the beach, ate way too much seafood (how I miss you, Arnolds!) and made it a priority to consume ice cream each and every night. It will always be one of our special places...

When I saw this home, it brought be right back to 4 years ago- driving around, trying to find our favorite little town. We love the Eastham and Wellfleet areas, btw. And although this beauty is on the island of nantucket, it made me fall in love all over again with all things and everything cape cod.

Don't you love this home? It's timeless, neutral, and serene. With emphasis on the neutral (my fave!) Small dashes of color through art and florals are really all the home needs. Anything else would just be too much. It's undone but very done at the same time, it's Balanced to perfection.

The exterior is so new england- helllloooo cedar shakes. And all those french doors and windows? Swoon. I'm a sucker for symmetry and this house delivers (note: chaise lounges) speaking of, I really could use one of those chaise lounges (like right now) With a cocktail in hand, of course.

Oh to dream. And how in the world did I swim in the 65 degree atlantic ocean?

Happy hunting!
