Gifts for the Curious Cook

holiday gift ideas for the cook and host in your life!

Wow, I cannot believe that it's November already. With that said, it's holiday time. Or at least that's what retailers have us trained to think. I love the cheerful holiday decor and displays at the stores but it just seems it's happening earlier and earlier each year.

But, I digress. Christmas is only 50 (!) days away. Time seems to fly from Halloween to New Years, doesn't it? And if you're anything like me, you want to get as much done ahead of time... To avoid the whole chicken with your head cut off thing.

You also want to give a thoughtful, beautiful, useful, and memorable gift, don't you? Seeing the recipient's eyes light up after they open something you know they will love and appreciate is such a joy. Finding the perfect gift for friends and family is a challenge I welcome each year. The thrill of the chase is everything for me. Am I the only one who feels this way?

i hope not!

I've used Pinterest to make boards chronicling gifts for my family and friends since I first joined. I even have a secret board filled with wish-list goodies that Mr. Wonderful can refer to when people ask "what should i get kira?" I'll be keeping that one secret...

P.S. i am terribly hard to buy for, i admit it.

But I've enjoyed making one that is very close to my heart- for the cooks, hosts, hostesses, entertainers, and bakers (among others!) in your life.

This board is your source for beautiful, artisanal and special gifts for the curious culinary type. and these gifts come from some of my favorite retailers such as terrain, quitokeeto, herriot grace, and williams-sonoma, to name a few!

Think: unique cookbooks, ice cream subscriptions (yes, they really do exist!) and the perfect marble rolling pin. Of course, there are other things like monogramed napkins, eggnog marshmallows, and a gorgeous live bay leaf wreath (they make your home smell wonderful, btw.) can you tell that being a host, cook, and baker are some of my most treasured hobbies?

Enter, my board filled with goodies galore to impress even the most discerning culinary set. i hope you enjoy :)

Keep up with my board- I'll be pinning nonstop. and having way too much fun doing it! And in the meantime, check out the rest of my boards and follow along for tons of visual loveliness and inspiration!

happy gifting!

xx
