Is it me, or does everyone else sort of hate February too? It has to be my least favorite month but luckily, the shortest of them all. By now, we've had a dozen snow storms and everything is just a cold mess. Husband and I were lucky enough to escape the biggest storm yet- Pax, which dropped over 2 feet (on top of what we already had on the ground!) here in New York. And although it did snow during our trip down South, the beauty of it is that IT. MELTS. FAST. Here, the snow will occupy parking lots in the form of tiny mountains till, say- April.
Lately, a lot of my pins have been shades of blue. Intentional? No. Subconsciously pinning based on mood? Perhaps. I actually love the color blue. In fact, if you open my closet, majority of it is navy (and black) But that's another story.
Coming back from a warmer place can be a double edged sword- A break from the snow is welcome and oh so enjoyable (we had highs in the 60s!) but also a big bummer when you return home. Does anyone else want to curl up in a ball and watch the Olympics? And drink waaaay more coffee than one should? (guilty.)
So, I'm trying to see the beauty in the midst of these February blues and keep on trucking. I've kept up my exercise routine, have been taking my multi-vitamins, and have been eating well (minus the whole coffee thing.) Trying to re-focus some energy into finding beauty in the blues because, blue is serene, blue is grounding, and blue is refreshing- the perfect interlude to Spring. T minus 8 days and it's sayonara, FEBRUARY!
