Thoughts on Style

Have you ever walked into a store and felt right at home? Pictured yourself living there, because, well, you felt like this brand was so you? I think I've met my match.

The kicker? I've never been to this store- they don't have a brick and mortar. I somehow stumbled upon Everlane and it was love at first click. I love fashion; I went to fashion school, after all. And although I love haute couture, my real life has its own uniform of sorts: different variations of wardrobe basics. I never want my clothes to speak louder than my words. I want my whole look to personify and compliment me. Thats how I define personal style. Did I mention, comfort is everything?!

As one who craves (you guessed it) efficiency, I find so much satisfaction in being able to open my closet doors and not have to think about what to wear. That seems fussy and troublesome to me. I don't think you should have to try when it comes to style. I follow this simple rule: Always dress to feel comfortable in your own skin. Confidence will emanate from within when you feel comfortable in your own skin (and clothes!)

For a company to embody my sense of style so perfectly- effortlessly, I feel lucky to even have made such a discovery. Style aside, Everlane has options and sizes and beautiful colorways. Their philosophy is also something I really dig- radical transparency. Seriously, after studying and working retail, you learn just how insane the markup on clothing is. Thanks Everlane for shedding some light on the subject! I jokingly (but not really) told my husband I want one of everything in each color from these guys. Cheers to good style.
